Privacy and cookies
Last updated 22 October 2026
The short version: this site uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts. The demo checks images entirely in your browser: no image you check is uploaded. Only the key read from its seal is sent, to look up its owner and the registered measurements.
Who we are
This site is run by Adam Weisman, a private individual developing Vereye as a personal project; Vereye is not yet a company or a business. He is responsible for the data described here. For anything about your data, write to Adam@vereye.ai.
What happens when you use the demo
- Reading the seal happens on your device. The image you choose, drop or paste is read in your browser; it is never uploaded.
- Looking up the owner. If a seal is read, only its key (a 64-bit number) is sent to our registry to find the registered owner.
- Measuring the copy also happens on your device. When the key read from a copy is registered, your browser receives that photo’s registered measurements and compares the copy with them itself. The image is never uploaded, stored, logged or shared. What is sent is the key read from the seal, a 16-character code, to look up its owner and measurements.
- Please check only images you have the right to use, and avoid images showing other people’s personal information.
When you contact us
The contact form does not send anything to our servers: it opens your own email app with your message filled in. We receive what you choose to send by email and use it only to answer you. We keep that correspondence for up to 24 months after the last message, and delete it sooner if you ask. Email to us is delivered and stored by our email provider, which handles it on our behalf. Giving us any of this is voluntary.
Images you send us
If you email us an image (for example to report a result you did not expect), we use it only to look into that result, do not share it, and delete it when we are done or when you ask.
You decide what to give
You do not have to give us any personal data to use the site or the demo. If you write to us, you choose what to include. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we share it with no one except the service providers that deliver the site (Cloudflare) and our email, as needed, or when the law requires it.
Technical data
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, which runs the network between your browser and our server. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical details of each request (such as the page asked for, the time and your browser type), and may keep them in its logs for a limited time for security; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Our own code uses your IP address only in memory, to limit abuse (a short-lived counter of requests per address), and does not write it to any log.
Cookies and similar technologies
| What | Used? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Cookies set by us | None | Our pages set no cookies of any kind. |
| Security cookie set by Cloudflare | Only if needed | To protect the site from automated attacks, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie (for example __cf_bm, which expires after 30 minutes) that tells people from bots. It is not used for tracking or advertising, so no consent is needed. |
| Analytics, advertising, social trackers | None | We do not measure or profile visitors. |
| Third-party scripts and fonts | None | Every script, font and image comes from this site. |
| Local storage in your browser | Only if you use the accessibility menu | It remembers your accessibility choices on your device. It is never sent to us. Clear it any time from your browser, or press Reset in the menu. |
Because nothing is used for tracking, there is no cookie banner to accept.
What the registry holds about sealed photos
For each sealed photo, the registry keeps a protected label derived from its key (never the key itself), its size and format, the owner’s public record, a fingerprint of its pixels, and a few numbers per area that cannot rebuild the image. It never holds the image. On this demo, the only sealed photos are our own gallery.
Legal bases and your rights
We process the little data above to run the site and the demo safely (our legitimate interest) and to answer messages you send (your request). Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and, where it applies, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask to see, correct or delete data about you, receive a copy of what you sent us, object to its use, or ask us to restrict it. Write to Adam@vereye.ai; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or to your local data protection authority.
Security, transfers and children
Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS), and registry records are signed. Cloudflare’s network spans many countries, including the United States; Transfers out of Israel rest on our providers’ contractual data-protection commitments, as the Privacy Protection (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad) Regulations, 5761-2001, allow; for EU and UK data, Cloudflare commits to standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The site is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Material changes will be stated at the top.
